Blackshape srl was founded in 2009 in Monopoli (Italy) by Luciano Belviso and Angelo Petrosillo.
It is part of the industrial high-tech holding Angel and provides from preliminary design to production of carbon fiber aircraft, with high expertise in stress analysis, system integration, qualification and certification.
Blackshape Prime
The Blackshape Prime is an Italian ultralight aircraft, developed from the Millennium Master designed and developed by Millenium Aircraft. The Millenium Master first flew in 2006 and was introduced at the Aero show held in Friedrichshafen in 2009. In 2010, after bankruptcy of Millenium Aircraft, the design was acquired and further developed by Blackshape as Blackshape Prime.
The aircraft was designed to comply with the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight rules. It features a cantilever low-wing, a two-seats-in-tandem enclosed cockpit under a bubble canopy, retractable tricycle landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. The aircraft is made from pre-preg carbon fibre.
