Xi'an

Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation, also known as Xi'an Aircraft Company Limited (XAC), is a Chinese aircraft manufacturer and developer of large and medium-sized civil and military airplanes. It is based in the Yanliang District, Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. XAC was established in 1958.
Currently, it is a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and it is responsible for the production of China's biggest internally manufactured military aircraft, the Xian Y-20.

Xi'an Y-7

The Xi'an Y-7 is a transport/passenger aircraft built in China. It is based on the Soviet-designed Antonov An-24 series.
China imported the Antonov An-24 from early in its production run and also negotiated licences for production of the aircraft and its engines. In 1966, Xi'an aircraft factory started the project of local production of An-24. The first Chinese-assembled An-24T had its maiden flight on 25 December 1970. Production was launched in 1977 at the Xi'an aircraft factory, but progress was slow due to the deleterious effects of the Cultural Revolution. A pre-production aircraft was displayed to the public at Nanyuan air base, near Beijing, on 17 April 1982. The WJ-5A1 turboprop engine was chosen as the Y-7's power source. The first production aircraft was not flown until February 1984, illustrating the slow progress (eighteen years from licence to production).
The Chinese aircraft equated to the An-24RV, having a full complement of windows and the booster jet engine. The majority of early deliveries were to the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), mostly as transports, with a few in 52-seat airliner configuration for the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). After the initial licensed production run, the Y-7 was developed separately from the An-24 with a succession of upgrades culminating in the Xian MA60 (Modern Ark) series.

Xi'an MA60

The Xi'an MA60 ("Modern Ark 60") is a turboprop-powered airliner produced by China's Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The MA-60 is a stretched version of the Xian Y-7-200A, which was produced based on the Antonov An-24 to operate in rugged conditions with limited ground support and has short take-off and landing (STOL) capability.
The airplane received its type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China in June 2000. The MA60 has not applied for FAA(US) and EASA(Europe) type certification, and is not certified for use in the European Union or the US. The general designer of MA60 series is Lü Hai.
As of October 2006, XAC has received over 90 MA60 orders. The factory had delivered 23 MA60s by the end of 2006, and expects to deliver an additional 165 by the end of 2016.
