Farner Air Transport Ag (FAT) was established in Basel and started operations in the beginning of 1984. In 1993 FAT acquires the majority of a Hungarian airline which is renamed to FARNER AIR TRANSPORT Hungary. In 1997 the FARNAIR Europe Aviation Group is created. in 1999 Express Airways, a German operator within the Aviation Group is started. In 2003 FARNAIR Germany is phased out and FARNAIR Netherlands and FARNAIR Technical Services AG are sold. In 2004 the FARNAIR Group is consolidated into 2 entities: FARNAIR Switzerland and FARNAIR Hungary. In December 2014 FARNAIR was acquired by ASL Aviation.
