Aer Lingus is the flag carrier airline of Ireland, with head office and hub at Dublin Airport, Cloghran, County Dublin, Ireland.
Aer Lingus was founded on 15 April 1936 by the Irish government. Between 2006 and 2015 it was privatised and since 2 September 2015 it is a subsidiary of the International Airlines Group, the parent company of British Airways, Iberia and Vueling.
Aer Lingus is a former member of the Oneworld airline alliance, which it left on 31 March 2007.
