Noorduyn Aircraft Limited was a Canadian aircraft manufacturer founded by Dutch immigrant Robert B. C. Noorduyn and Walter Clayton. It was established in Montreal in 1933 and in early 1934 acquired the Curtiss-Reid factory in Cartierville, Quebec, near Montreal. In 1935 it began operating as Noorduyn Aviation.
Noorduyn Harvard
The Noorduyn Harvard is a single-engined advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), United States Navy, Royal Air Force, and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and into the 1970s. Designed by North American Aviation as T-6, it is known by a variety of designations depending on the model and operating air force. The British Commonwealth air forces designated it as the Harvard.
