BACA / The Air Charter Association

The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) represents the interests of commercial aviation companies particularly in the aircharter industries and markets. BACA is a worldwide organisation whose membership is open to those involved within the Aviation Industry, engaged in the chartering of aircraft. The objectives of BACA are to promote the highest standards of professionalism and ethics within the Aviation Industry. Based in London, England, United Kingdom.
In 1949 BACA became the successor of the Airbrokers' Association founded by members of the Baltic Mercantile and Shipping Exchange in 1948. Its purpose was to bring to aircraft chartering the same standards of integrity and professionalism for which the Baltic Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers have been known and respected.
In 1976 membership was opened to include airlines and other non-members of the Exchange who could show that they operated their aviation businesses to the same high standards set by the original association. The name then changed to Baltic Air Charter Association.

On 4 July 2019 BACA became The Air Charter Association.
